Barry Fish is an acclaimed independent fish restaurant in the heart of Leith, Edinburgh. Opened in 2025, we offer a largely fish-focused menu, alongside a small selection of non-fish dishes. We also offer a carefully selected wine list, bespoke cocktails, craft beers and soft drinks.
Barry Fish serves a First Wave two-course menu for diners before 6pm and our a la carte menu from 6pm.

Barry Fish is the first restaurant by the award-winning chef Barry Bryson, focusing on direct sourcing of the best fish and shellfish from Scotland as well as optimum seasonal produce from farmers, fishermen, producers and growers across the UK.
Our ethos is simple. The best ingredients we can get, cooked with skill and passion in a welcoming warm environment. There is no formality at Barry Fish other than the respect that we have for what we do.
Barry Fish was shortlisted for the newcomer of the year at the Scotsman Food & Drink awards, The Scottish Excellence Awards 2026 and a nationwide Catey nomination in summer 2026.
